When I need things that large I move up to AWS and use the G4dn.4xlarge or G4dn.8xlarge instances. My vmix machine isn't quite this beastly. I mean I'm sure that there are bigger cases but not sure your going to need more than 4u. ![]() Mostly because a 4u case will fit any CPU, gpu and cooling that exists on the market realistically. Not much point in building a case larger than 4u or this. Thanks ahead of time for any and all input, this subreddit has helped me a ton since I have joined! We use x-keys controllers for both instant replay and switching if that is needed to be known as well? It will live in a rack mounted 4u chassis if that makes any difference? This build will be used specifically for sports and small town local event coverage. So, any suggestions or recommendations on parts like GPU, CPU, Capture cards, before we begin buying parts to start our build? I know VMix reference system chart has a build that is able to do this and that is what we were going to do but, I always like to check here to get some actual feedback or advice on parts that we should beef up or areas that aren’t as important. ![]() ![]() We are wanting to achieve a few things with our new build.Ĥ0-50 additional HD inputs for things like pre-recorded commercials, overlays, external audio. We are currently preparing to upgrade our VMix machine to be able to handle larger productions.Ĭurrently our PC can intake 4 HDMI inputs, instant replay for all, and can smoothly handle 10-15 inputs.
